On the inside:
Born and bred Edinburgh lad, Paddy joined Ivory & Syme Investment Managers in 1970 and spent 5 years working up from Office Junior to Fund Manager’s Assistant. He then went to Scotblair fellmongery as an Assistant Accountant. Paddy joined the John Martin Group 1988 as a Branch Accountant, progressing to Group Financial Accountant a year later, becoming Group Financial Controller in 1993.

In 2004, Paddy was appointed Company Secretary for both the John Martin Group and Strathearn Group, and 5 years later in 2009, was appointed Financial Director of both organisations, an appropriate accolade for his 21st birthday with the company.

Life on the outside:
Known for his dry wit and lust for life, Paddy now has a passion for running, proving life can begin at 50. He’s also a staunch football supporter, and likes to relax by sharing the odd glass of wine with his family!
